Our Weekend

This weekend was busy as usual for us. Craig was a little busier than I was. Friday night he attended the Happy Re-birthday Celebration at church, a fantastic idea by a dynamite lady named Virginia. It is a celebration for all new salvations in the previous quarter. They come together for pizza and a birthday cake of course, and they share testimonies. Specific leaders also share more about ways the new converts can continue to grow through resources and classes that are offered. There was a tremendous turn out and some terrific testimonies! After that Craig, Alexis and Karl decided to take in a late, late movie. The trio went to see 10,000 BC and didn’t get home until after 2 am!

Craig and the girls brought me breakfast in bed Saturday morning which was so nice! Craig can make a mean pot of grits! Haley headed off with her friend’s family for some fun at Go Bananas, an indoor amusement park. Kelsea had to go to rehearsal for her class number in the school talent show and it ended up be a sleep over. Kaitlyn had dance practice too, so Craig and I were left with the two little ones…Lexi and Izzie. We had to go to a surprise birthday party at The Cheesecake Factory for Millie (Happy Birthday Millie!) so we took them along. It was a great time… lots of great company and good food! The girls were so good! We rushed home so Craig could get to his next meeting and I opted to stay home and get the little ones ready for bedtime early since we were “springing ahead” an hour. The girls and I go to the 8 am service so I knew they would need to get to sleep early.

We went to church Sunday morning and Craig attended a service Pastor Ray was speaking at at another church at 4 pm. He got home around 8:30 and was beat! He had quite a long weekend! On the other hand, I was able to work on my book quite a bit this weekend. “Confessions of a Destiny Driven Diva” is coming along… I am trying to pull all of the pieces I have together! I am excited about it as I see it begin to take the shape I desired for it! I can’t wait to finish it!

I was so moved yesterday as I was writing and working on “Confessions..” I heard my little Isabella singing in her little sweet voice, “I know who I am, I know who I am, I know who I am, I am Yours, I am Yours, and You are mine!” She was singing a part of Israel Houghton’s latest CD.

It was both precious and powerful! Imagine my little 2 yo girl singing such words! I had just posted a podcast Saturday about the “power of the Word” and here she was singing the Word over herself!!!! She has a tremendous destiny…. God has powerful things in store for all five of my little destiny driven divas!
